FAQ

Honest answers.

Can we cancel any time?
Yes. Monthly contract, 30 days' notice. Setup fee non-refundable once onboarding starts. We will export all your customer data within 30 days of cancellation.
Do our customers know it's MotifyMe?
No, unless you tell them. The branded portal shows your logo, your colour, your domain, and emails come from your domain. There is a very small “Powered by MotifyMe” footer on free tier sites; this can be removed on Professional and above.
What happens if MotifyMe goes out of business?
Enterprise contracts include a code-escrow clause: if MotifyMe Ltd dissolves, your tenant data and a code archive are released to you for perpetual use of the version you were running. Speak to us about the specific wording.
Can we integrate it with our existing DMS?
Enterprise tier includes read-only API access (GET customers, vehicles, lookups). Two-way integrations (DMS writes to MotifyMe) are bespoke and quoted separately.
What about GDPR? Who owns the customer data?
You do. You are the data controller, MotifyMe Ltd is the data processor under a signed DPA. Customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on UK servers, and never used for anything outside your tenant.
Can our customers apply for finance through the platform?
MotifyMe Ltd is an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) of Presto Finance Ltd (FCA 984108). Our only role is introducing your customers to Presto. Presto handle the regulated activity (the advice, the arranging, the underwriting). Your dealership doesn't need FCA permissions because no regulated activity happens at your end. The customer sees a finance option in their branded portal, taps it, and the enquiry routes to Presto via MotifyMe's introducer chain. The introducer commission stays with MotifyMe. This keeps your dealership outside the scope of FCA Section 19 (which makes it a criminal offence for unauthorised firms to carry out regulated activities). Enterprise customers with their own FCA permissions or appointed-representative status can negotiate a revenue-share arrangement case-by-case.
How is this different from MotifyMe for Business?
MotifyMe for Business is for businesses that want to use MotifyMe to manage their own fleet of vehicles. MotifyMe for Dealers is for car dealerships that want to offer MotifyMe to their customers under their own brand. Different audience, different product.
