The SL65 AMG sits at the very top of the R230 SL range, combining the elegance and refinement of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship roadster with an extraordinary level of performance. At its heart is the legendary AMG 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12, producing approximately 604 bhp and 738 lb ft of torque. Even by modern standards, those figures are remarkable, but it is the way the SL65 delivers its performance that gives the car its unique character. There is an effortless quality to the enormous V12 torque, with seemingly endless acceleration available at virtually any speed.
