How MotifyMe® writes its articles

MotifyMe publishes practical guides and timely explainers for UK drivers on buying, financing, insuring, taxing and running a used car. Articles are written by Matthew Croxford, Founder and Director, with the help of AI writing tools, and are reviewed and approved by him before publication.

Sources and accuracy

We base factual statements on official and primary sources wherever we can, such as GOV.UK, the DVLA, DVSA, HMRC and manufacturer websites. Where a rule is a proposal or a trial and not yet law, we say so. Prices, rates and dates can change, so each article shows when it was published and, where it has been revised, when it was last updated.

Original content

Our articles are written for MotifyMe readers and are not copied or republished from other publishers. Where we draw on another source we describe it in our own words and link to it where that helps the reader.

What we cover and what we avoid

We cover topics that help UK drivers make better decisions. We do not publish party-political commentary, and we do not give personal financial, legal or investment advice.
