What is the MotifyMe marketplace?

The MotifyMe marketplace is a used-car marketplace listing cars from motor dealers and from private sellers. You can browse and search it freely, without an account, and run a free reg lookup on any car that interests you.

Can I get finance on a car in the marketplace?

Only cars listed by a motor dealer may be eligible for a finance introduction, and only ever subject to status and affordability. Cars listed by private sellers are cash-only and cannot be financed; they are funded directly with the seller. Availability depends on the individual car and seller, so finance is never guaranteed.

Are the cars on the marketplace checked?

You can run MotifyMe's free reg lookup on any listing to see its MOT history, DVLA details, tax status and safety recalls, and add a paid vehicle history check before you buy. Listings come from dealer stock feeds and from private sellers, so we always recommend running your own check before committing.

How do I sell my car on MotifyMe?

A private seller can list a car on the marketplace for a one-off fee of £9.99, and the listing runs for 60 days. Private-seller listings are for cash sales, so they are not eligible for finance, and the sale is arranged directly between you and the buyer.

Is it free to browse, and do I need an account?

Yes, browsing the marketplace is completely free and needs no account. You only pay if you choose a paid vehicle history check or, as a private seller, list a car for sale.
